After-school program introduces Philly kids to nursing

The plan was produced by the Nationwide Black Nurses Association. Its mission is to introduce extra Black and brown young children to the job of nursing in the hopes that they might a single working day be part of the workforce.

The academy at the General George Meade School in Philadelphia debuted in January. It is a collaboration with the Southeastern Pennsylvania Place Black Nurses Association.

Neighborhood registered and superior apply nurses volunteer their time after a 7 days to instruct little ones about the heritage of nursing, the inner workings of a medical center, and their day-to-day jobs.
